For the innovative use of timber resulting in a distinctive visual impact on a commercial, industrial, or public building environment.

 

3. Engineering Excellence

For the innovative use of engineered timber, resulting in a distinctive technical/structural impact on a residential, commercial, industrial or public building environment.

 

4. Exterior Innovation

For any wood or wood panel product that forms the exterior of a structure, be it residential or non-residential which highlights the versatility and flexibility of wood while enhancing the buildings aesthetic.

 

5. Interior Innovation

For innovative use of wood or a wood panel product as a signature feature, in a predominantly wood building, adding ambience, flair and practicality.

 

6. Timber Innovation In Business

Most innovative use of timber to solve a business/commercial challenge.

 

7. Indigenous Timber Showcase Award

Indigenous Timber Showcase Award: The use of indigenous timber in a manner that best highlights its unique characteristics. This category is open to entries from across the spectrum of timber usage from furniture to buildings, facilities to objet's d'art.

 

8. Canterbury Rebuild Innovation

Most effective use of timber in architectural and engineering terms, as a response to the Canterbury rebuild – this award is open to both built and unbuilt.

 

9. Sustainability Award

For entries that show a commitment to sustainability where there is a focus on timber, the carbon footprint, location of supply, energy efficiency etc.
