The post tensioned box beam solution is submitted within Category 4 – Commercial Engineering Excellence of the NZ Wood Timber Design Awards, as it is an innovative solution, using locally grown Pinus Radiata manufactured into Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) by Nelson Pine Industries Ltd  (NPIL), and involving only a local fabricator and contractor.
