Forestry
Love our forests – Our environment does

Forests perform critical environmental functions – they stabilise hillsides, protect soil health, purify our water, regulate its flow, and help prevent flooding.
In a world with growing levels of atmospheric pollution, trees absorb and store dangerous carbon from the atmosphere, and re-cycle it into pure life-giving oxygen.
New Zealand has 1.7 million hectares of plantation forests. These forests constitute one of the few truly environmentally sustainable industries.
As our forests grow, so does our wealth; but so too does our environmental security.
