What is NZ Wood?

The NZ Wood programme is a comprehensive range of projects and initiatives managed by a cross-section of the forestry and wood industry to promote New Zealand forests and increase consumption of wood and wood-based products.

By choosing wood we are contributing to New Zealand’s commitment to the fight against climate change, and creating a better world.

The entire NZ Wood programme is founded on research evidence, industry consultation and commitment to build our future in wood.

Who can join?

NZ Wood’s membership is comprised of wood industry bodies including: the New Zealand Forest Owners’ Association, he NZ Farm Forestry Association, the Pine Manufacturers’ Association, the Wood Processors’ Association.

We also have a number of associate members from industry.

Any member of the industry bodies listed above is entitled to become a full NZ Wood partner at no cost.

Do you sell wood?

NZ Wood is a promotional programme and information provider for the wood industry in New Zealand. As such, we do not sell any product or act as a broker or intermediary either within New Zealand or internationally.

Our comprehensive vendors’ database does give details however of New Zealand producers who would be delighted to talk to you about your purchase requirements.
