This Spa Chalet is octagonal in shape and measures 3.5m from post to diagonally opposite post (not a wall to wall size).

The three back walls are covered with 10mm gap, oriental style trellis. The other four walls consist of a chunky oriental style pattern to window height (approximately 0.96m high) with an arched lintel at the window head. The remaining “wall” is an open entry at the front, again with an arched lintel at the entry head.
The roof is set at a standard 30 degrees. The treated plywood is biscuited, glued and shaped for decramastic tiles secured to purlins on the plywood. These pre-assembled panels are then secured with stainless steel fixings between arched shaped roof rafters and a treated laminated roof post.
The floor is treated grip tread pine (grip tread on the upside). Our installation recommendation is for the floor to be on bearers and piles in a concrete, so the floor is air rated being just of the ground.
Living Outdoors Ltd always use No. 1 grade (or better) pinus radiata (mostly clears used in the framing) and CD grade treated pine plywood for the roof.
Roof options are: asphalt shingles on plywood, Canadian cedar shingles, Canadian cedar planking, Mini Orb (corrugated iron with a small wave)
Other timber options are: kwila or hardwood for the floor.
Fixings used are stainless steel and galvanised. The finish can vary from natural to a clear timber sealant (“Deck Pro Clear”), or range of Wattyl, Cabots or Sikkens timber stain. In this case Wattyl Forrestwood Copper Timber Stain was used.
