Savill building

Contemporary engineering is combined with traditional craft in an undulating gridshell roof structure constructed from 20 km of finger-jointed larch. The roof is clad with green oak that, like the larch, has been sourced from the Crown Estate’s own renewable sources in the Windsor Estate. The organic form of the building’s roof creates a large, open interior space while being responsive to the sensitive setting.
