A repeating timber diamond lamella structure forms the walls and roof of this animal shelter.
Identical 200 mm x 50 mm members, pre-cut with a jig, have simple pin connectors that hold the members in place. Costs were reduced drastically by the use of prefabricated identical components. The structure sits on steel legs anchored to concrete strip footings. Open ends allow ventilation, and three plexiglas bands allow natural light to penetrate.
