David Trubridge Design
The ‘new sling’ rocking recliner designed and made by David Trubridge is a later version of his body raft.
The concave tapering shape was inspired by boats, the sea and nearby Pacific cultures. Made from steam-bent American white ash, fixed over an internal frame of computer cut hoop pine with stainless steel screws, it reflects his concern for sustainable materials and processes. The wood is left natural and untreated.
